John Bain Advisor Joins as a advisor at Atomionics
John Bain - New Advisor

January 16, 2026 — We’re grateful to have John Bain join Atomionics as an Advisor, bringing decades of hard-earned subsurface insight to the work we’re building.

John is a senior leader in gravity and magnetic geophysics, with over 35 years of experience shaping how potential-field data is used in subsurface exploration. He has held president and leadership-level roles across the industry, including at Edcon, LCT, Galileo Geophysics, and most recently Bain Geophysical, where he led complex interpretation programs and advised operators worldwide.

Over his career, John has led major interpretation studies across more than 10 countries from the Americas to Asia, working in a wide range of geological settings, from salt and carbonate provinces to overthrust belts and deep reservoir systems. His work consistently integrates gravity, magnetics, FTG/Falcon, and seismic velocities, helping teams make sense of subsurface complexity where traditional approaches struggle.

As Atomionics brings quantum gravimetry into active exploration workflows, John brings something rare: decades of global subsurface judgment paired with a clear understanding of where new sensing technologies can genuinely shift outcomes. He knows where classical gravity delivers, where it plateaus, and where quantum sensing can open new doors.

We’re excited to build this next chapter together.

Welcome to Atomionics, John.
